The Central & Southern Scotland Athletics League (CSSAL) is our largest and most inclusive summer track and field league. It brings together clubs from across Scotland to compete in a series of team matches throughout the season.
Athletes compete against others in their own age group across a wide range of track and field events, including sprints, middle-distance, jumps, throws and relays.
CSSAL is for athletes from U12, U14, U16, U18, U20, Senior & Masters age groups, wmaking it a fantastic opportunity for athletes of all ages and abilities to represent CAAC.

Team Selection
Athletes are selected by the club ahead of each fixture. Each club enters 2 athletes for each event.
Selections are based on:
- Athlete availability
- Event preferences
- Giving as many athletes as possible the opportunity to compete and represent the club during the season.

Selected athletes will be contacted by email and/or through their coach.
On the Day
CSSAL is a team competition, with every athlete’s performance contributing towards the club’s overall result.
If selected, simply:
- Report to the CAAC team manager on arrival
- Collect your competition number
- Enjoy competing as part of the team
There is no entry fee for selected athletes.
