DOUGIE SELMAN GOING THE DISTANCE IN ANGLO CELTIC PLATE 100K
A JAUNT down the A1 to Berwick-upon-Tweed? Or what about lapping up the views from the southern shores of Loch Lomond at Balloch? Both seem like pretty long drives from Corstorphine for a day out by car – but that’s the distance CAAC athlete Dougie Selman will be running having been selected in the Scotland … Continue reading DOUGIE SELMAN GOING THE DISTANCE IN ANGLO CELTIC PLATE 100K

This year I was injured and away on holiday so missed out on one of my favourite runs. Still there were plenty of CAACers … Continue reading Northumberland Coastal Run 2019
Tour of Fife the final day
And before you know it, it’s all over. The legs are tired and not that willing anymore, but somehow you get yourself to that last race to get it all over and done with! Five races in 5 days is trying no doubt and finishing it gives you great sense of achievement. Well done CAAC … Continue reading Tour of Fife the final day
Tour of Fife day 4
If memory serves me right the fourth day is the hardest. Your legs are tired, your spirits low and unless you have Capt’n Al nobody who manically bounces around to get you going! Your attitude tends to be ‘right let’s get this over and done with’. Then once you get going and you’ve turned back … Continue reading Tour of Fife day 4
Tour of Fife Day 3
Then there is the mile. An ‘easy’ one to rest the legs after an evening on the beach and one in the hills. It would be easy weren’t it for the fact that you’ve been up and down a big hill and your legs are tired. Added to that you are now also firmly obsessing … Continue reading Tour of Fife Day 3
Tour of Fife Day 2
Driving home I saw East Lomond hill bathed in sunshine. I felt a pang of guilt not going to support the CAAC ToF elite. However that hill is big and I wasn’t ever going to go all the way up there just to say well done keep going. If you haven’t been to Falkland then … Continue reading Tour of Fife Day 2
