A Happy New Year to CAAC one and all,
It’s only the 2nd weekend of the new year and CAAC has already had more amazing performances.
Firstly at the Inter District XC Champs in Glasgow on Saturday Angus Smith finished a brilliant 4th in the Senior Men’s race just missing out on a podium place. We also had great runs by some of our younger athletes selected for the East of Scotland team. Alice Mourao finished 6th in the U20 women’s race, Tymek Chmielowski finished 9th in the U17 Men’s race, Belle Logan was 18th in the U17 Women’s race and Callie Logan was 27th in the U15 girls race. Well done to all on great runs and congratulations on getting selected for the East of Scotland.

Also on Saturday we had the fastest ever 10km runs by CAAC members in the Valencia 10km. On the men’s side Ritchie Gardiner ran an incredible 29m26s just pipping the time run by Angus Smith last year and on the women’s side Josie Wren Golder ran a hugely impressive 34m46s.

Finally on Sunday at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow Alice Mourao showed that when you’re fit you’re fit by racing for a second day running and smashing her 1500m pb by 10 secs. Her time of 4m28s takes her 2nd on the CAAC women’s all time list.

Take a look at the calendar for upcoming events.
