The second match of the Men's League season took place on Sunday in stupendous conditions at Grangemouth.  Perhaps a little breezy but nevertheless a great day for soaking up the action.

Glen Rosa Horseshoe race Arran

A taste of Island magic in a day trip, and what an inspiring day it was, the mountains totally clear of cloud and shimmering in the clear atmosphere and summer heat. Even Ardrossan at the ferry terrminal looked vaguely attractive with the sandstone tenements glowing red in the sun. Most unusual. It being the first of the SHR 'long' championship series, large numbers of familiar faces were on the ferry, and there was quite a party atmosphere. Read more »

Dunfermline Half - 13/06/10

New course this year so was tempted back to give it another try, though the new date clashed with the Dechmont Law race which was a shame as that's one of my favourites. Spotting the Dechmont Alien is a highlight (see Steve B's report).
However, being a Dunfermline laddie, and with the promise of some family support on the course, it meant I was off to Fife on Sunday morning. Read more »

Dechmont Law 10k Trail Race

Ran Dechmont Law 10k Trail Race today, well organised as usual, Lothian Running Club did a great job again, bonus it was only £4 to enter. It was a wee bit damp and drizzly, but the temperature was ideal for running. I decided to push it from the start, but soon realised after about 500m that there was no way I could sustain the pace, my legs started to really tire, possibly the after effects of the Black Rock 5 on Friday. Feeling the 'Pain' at Traprain

After the excesses of the Black Rock and ensuing libations I somehow was talked into running the Trapain Law hill race the next day. Standing at the start line, head still a bit fuzzy, legs aching,  with the taste  of sand in my mouth I still couldn't believe I was about to embark on this Adventure. Read more »
