British Milers Club [ Solihull 10/07/2010 ]

Douglas Selman, made another trip south and finished well in the 1500m C race at the British Milers club meeting on Friday night. Outside his best at 3:54.29 in 8th but a consistent run ahead of the Scottish National Championships next week taking place @ Pitreavie. Also running was Andrew Connick winning the 800M E race in a time of 1:52.45, now running for Belgrave he previously represented Corstorphine. Read more »

Carnethy (Midweek) Hill Race 2010

After missing the real Carnethy hill race earlier this year after an unfortunate meeting with a metal bollard i was keen to give its midweek shorter sibling a go. Phyllis and i headed over and were in plenty of time to secure a prime berth in one of the two parking bays. In the one hill midweek version there is only one real climb though you do nip over the top of the wee hillock to the right after an easy short grass path climb before dropping down to start for the full ascent of Carnethy itself. Jog Scotland 5k

Still no write up for this? Thought I'd be clever and rush out of work and across town for the 6pm race at inverleith last week in the hope there would be a few less speed merchants in attendance... that didn't prove to be the case.

37th Corrie Roberts 20.42 - 2nd Elite Female

193rd Jillian Hogg 25.15
