Last Sunday myself, Steve and Keith headed out for the 30th running of this event.  My first thoughts on seeing the flat grassy course was 'this would be a walk in the park' thinking it was similar to Prestonpans.  How wrong I was as we headed along then down the hill to the hidden part and through the valley of mud with no time to recover as we hit the
short hill before returning to the flat part of the course.  It was 3 times round which did make it a challenge but it was also enjoyable being off road.  As a team we finished 6th which wasn't bad.
